About LING

Ling Chan grew up in Hong Kong and immigrated to New York City at the age of 21. There she began her career in the beauty industry and soon realized that in order to provide for her family while achieving the American dream, she decided to pursue her passion in esthetics. While preserving her rich Chinese heritage, Ling simultaneously assimilated into mainstream American culture and opened her first spa in 1984 at the renowned intersection, 57th street and 5th avenue in NYC.

Ling found there were no products on the market that delivered what they promised, she went on to develop her own collection of skincare in 1985 and became an avant-garde in formulating products without known irritants such as mineral oils, lanolin and artificial fragrances.

In conjunction with her new skincare collection, she developed her signature facial treatments based on Asian beauty principles of proper exfoliation and hydration to balance the skin while preventing and treating skin ailments before they arise. Ling’s fine artistry of skincare attracted spa enthusiasts, loyal celebrities, models and Hollywood leading stars. She became renowned in New York for her superlative results oriented skincare as well as becoming a facialist to the stars, servicing the likes of Naomi Campbell, Barbara Streisand, Meg Ryan, Alexander Wang, Renee Zellweger, Mariah Carey and Madonna since the ‘80s.

Patrick Chan, son of Ling Chan is now continuing her legacy as CEO of LING Skincare. He has expanded her brand message to encompass holistic wellness, educating others about the inter connectedness of the mind, body and soul based on their deep rooted spiritual background. His mission in this industry is to coach and empower skincare professionals to becoming the best versions of themselves, in honor of Ling.
